Holidays

Jones Fuel Co. gives time off to all employees on the following holidays:

* New Year's Day (January 1)

* Memorial Day (last Monday in May)

* Independence Day (July 4)

* Labor Day (first Monday in September)

* Thanksgiving (fourth Thursday in November)

* Christmas (December 25)

Eligible employees will be paid for holiday time off. If you are eligible, your holiday pay will be calculated at your straight-time pay rate as of that holiday multiplied by the number of hours you would normally have worked that day.

Employees in the following employment classifications are eligible for holiday time off with pay immediately:

* Regular full-time employees

If you are eligible for paid holidays, you must also work both the last scheduled work day immediately before the holiday and the first scheduled day immediately after the holiday.

If a holiday occurs while you are on vacation, you will receive holiday pay in addition to your vacation pay.

If you are eligible for paid holidays and on the holiday you are on a paid absence, such as vacation, you will get holiday pay instead of the paid time off pay you would have received.

If eligible nonexempt employees work on a recognized holiday, they will receive holiday pay plus their wages at their straight-time rate for the hours they worked on the holiday.

We do not count holiday paid time off as hours worked when calculating overtime.
